ARE YOU A GOOD BUDDY? GREAT. A VISITING FAMILY COULD USE YOU.

Dear Army’s Army members –
Be a buddy! Be a friend! The Army’s Army could really use you. We are still looking for volunteers to assist visiting military families during Orientation Weekend. We currently have 20 volunteers who have signed up. We still need 40 more!

It’s all happening the weekend of April 23-25, 2010, when the Dogwood Festival is in full bloom. Fayetteville/Cumberland County will be hosting an Orientation Weekend inviting to town all civilian DOD families considering relocating to Fayetteville/Cumberland County.

All weekend long activities will take place to help families learn about the area and give them the tools to decide if we are the right community for them.

We are looking for about 40 more friendly, outgoing volunteers to serve as a “buddy” to these families. By giving them a perspective of someone that actually lives here and sharing the parts of the community they otherwise wouldn’t find, your helping ease the strain of a difficult moving decision. You will help answer their questions, build a potential friendship, and share your opinions about what makes Fayettevillle/Cumberland County a great place.

Please let me know if you are interested in being an Army’s Army mentor. You can either email me at [email protected]mysarmy.com or you can call me at 910-709-9671.

Thanks so much for your dedication and support. It is greatly appreciated.
