Become A Mentor For Local Military Youth!
Three years ago, we started on a mission to establish a mentoring program for children of fallen soldiers. We have since partnered with a number of area businesses to host a series of fun, interactive events for children who have lost a parent or guardian in the war, as well as worked with Army Community Service Fort Bragg Survivor Outreach Services (ACS/SOS) on meeting the needs of surviving children.
Today, we are happy to announce our Children Of The Fallen Project Mentorship Program is ready to launch.
The Army’s Army and the Fayetteville Urban Ministry have partnered together on this special project to enhance the lives of these children, and we need your help to kick it off.
This program continues to support our military through relationships with their children, who are the future.
We are looking for 25 adults to become mentors for our Children Of The Fallen Project youth. Through this program, you will be given the opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life through the gift of friendship.

Ride To Honor – A Huge Success!
On May 17th, The Army’s Army and Cross Creek Cycling Club hosted the 3rd Annual Ride To Honor, a 30 and 60 mile gran fondo bicycle ride to raise money for our Children of The Fallen mentoring program and help further our mission of supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.
This year’s ride was a huge success, with over 100 cyclists participating in the event, including special guests from the U.S. Paralympics Cycling team, Army Col. Patty Collins and retired Staff Sgt. Jason Kimball, as well as retired Master Sgt. John Masson, a triple-amputee who also participated in last year’s race.
We would like to congratulate this year’s top male and female finishers, Sarah and Dylan, along with all the inspiring athletes that came out to show their support.
A special thank you to all of our partners: Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cross Creek Cycling Club, Walgreens, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cumberland County Oratorio Singers, Spring Lake Parks & Recreation, Sonic, PWC, Hawley’s Bicycle World, American Legion Auxiliary, Blashfield Sign Company, Attention Ink, American Legion Riders, The Republik, Leaflet Presbyterian Church, Foundation Family Worship Center, Harnett County Sheriff’s Department, and the Spring Lake Police Department.
