Pepsi Teams Up with The Army’s Army to Support Children of Fallen Soldiers

New Partnership kicks off statewide fundraiser with Sam’s Club

Fayetteville, NC – October 14, 2014 – The Army’s Army and Pepsi Bottling Ventures announced today a new partnership to support and raise awareness for the Children Of The Fallen Project, a mentoring program developed by The Army’s Army for children who have lost a parent or guardian in the war. As part of this new partnership, a portion of every Pepsi product case sold in participating Sam’s Club locations from October 1st through November 30th will be donated to the Children Of The Fallen Project.

“We have run similar programs before and had tremendous success helping a number of great causes. We are thrilled to be involved with the Children Of The Fallen Project. What they are doing for these children and families is so important and has such a powerful impact on their lives, “ says Alex Ashcraft, Key Account Manager for Pepsi Bottling Ventures.

Over three years ago,  The Army’s Army started on a mission to establish a mentoring program for children of fallen soldiers.  The Army’s Army has since partnered with a number of area businesses and Army Community Services Fort Bragg Survivor Outreach Services to host a series of fun,  interactive events for children who have lost a parent or guardian in the war. From athletic training to educational activities, these events give the youth the opportunity to build lasting relationships and learn valuable life skills. The Army’s Army and Fayetteville Urban Ministry have partnered together on this special project to support the  military through relationships with the children.

“We are ecstatic to work with Pepsi and Sam’s Club on the effort to support children of fallen soldiers,” commented Janine West, Executive Director of The Army’s Army.  “We look forward to continuous opportunities with both companies.”
