BREAKING NEWS: FAYETTEVILLE MILITARY FAMILY TO GET EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER

Dear Army’s Army Members and Partners,
As many of you may remember, this past October the Army’s Army lent a helping hand to Barbara Marshall, a former officer in the Navy that now runs The Steps-N-Stages Jubilee House, which houses homeless women veterans and their children. We’re excited to announce that she and her family have just now received the infamous “door knock” from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Barbara and her family will receive a complete home rebuild, courtesy of Blue Ridge Log Cabins. Congratulations to Barbara and her family!
There are many exciting community events in conjunction with the build. We need members to help manage the Army’s Army booth during the next event we’re involved with is this Sunday, July 17 at Festival Park.
The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival along with Blue Ridge Log Cabins are hosting a “Heroes, Hearts and Hard Hats” festival presented by R.A. Jeffery’s, from noon to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the family/build fund. At the event, The Army’s Army will be working with the USO of NC on a Rack Pack Drive for Ft. Bragg soldiers returning from deployment. We’d love for you to come volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Executive Director Janine West. You can also donate travel-sized personal hygiene items at our booth.
The build will begin on Friday, July 15 and end with the big reveal on Thursday, July 21. If you are interested in volunteering for the build, please visit www.joinextreme.com/northcarolina to sign-up.
