Hope Mills Fourth of July event draws over 200 new recruits

Even though the Fourth of July temperatures in Hope Mills were steamy, they failed to put a damper on the recruitment efforts of the Army’s Army. The event was very successful with Army’s Army members participating in the parade and over 200 volunteers joining the troops.

Hope Mills resident Jessie Bellflowers served as the MC for the second Army’s Army Induction Ceremony (if you recall, Jessie also did a great blog entry about the event on the Fayetteville Observer website). County Commissioner Diane Wheatly and 1SG. Ret. Max Speers also participated in the ceremony.

Commissioner Wheatly and City Councilman Ted Mohn also represented the Army’s Army in the event’s parade. Hendrick Chrysler Jeep and Bleecker Automotive Group both graciously provided vehicles for our use. A big “thank you” to them!
